Green Industries SA is a proud supporter of the Innovation Flight Fund – a unique initiative of St John’s Grammar School, Belair which encourages the commercialisation of innovations developed by talented young students keen to make a difference to the way we life, work and play.

Students are challenged to solve important problems including those relating to waste reduction and recycling and include a STEM component.

The circular economy agenda is of particular interest to the School as it knows that students, teachers and community are passionate about reducing resource consumption, managing waste more efficiently and innovations around these.

Minister for Environment and Water, Hon. David Speirs MP was guest of honour at an event held on October 29, 2020 where he presented Certificates of Achievement to students.

Pictured is Green Industries SA Chief Executive Vaughan Levitzke and Williem Hoffman who has developed an AI smart bin technology to eliminate the stress of not recycling correctly.
